The Bone Woman by Clea Koff
Koff was a forensic anthropology grad student in the mid 1990s, and worked for the UN excavating mass graves in the Balkans and Rwanda. The Bone Woman is her memoir, and I really enjoyed it! Much less gore and science than you might expect, more personal stories. I wrote a longer review on my blog.
